Two distinctive forms toured Cairo’s streets telling stories inspired by taxi drivers’ tales.
Wonderbox is an interactive street art project came to light by a very talented multi-disciplinary team of visual artists, musicians, storytellers, performers and architects commissioned by Mahatat For Contemporary Art.
It’s a re-make of the old traditional theatre box or “sandok el donia” that travelled through different regions of Egypt in the late 60s. Peep shows are well known around the globe especially in India and China.
